Our plans are based on flat or percentage rates. Our concept to have flat rates are based on future decision of the OIG to change the percentage rates of medical billing services. The OIG considers that when billing services get paid on a percentage it's considered fee splitting and allows room for fraud. Therefore, we offer you the option to chose until the changes become effective.
Ex: We have a physician on Plan III who used to pay a biller $10.00/hr and his collector $13.00/hr. They worked roughly 40 hrs/day when they didn't have personal down time or didn't call in sick. He paid $3680.00 before taxes and without benefits/mo. He now pays flat rate for around-the-clock services(flat rate plans-optional). He does not have a need for patient statements because he now has no past due patient balances, and he saves more than 50% in payroll.
